Kanye West has expressed his frustration on social media about never being selected to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show.
In a now-deleted post on X, the controversial rapper, 47, claimed singer Taylor Swift, 35, was one of the three reasons.
Ye was apparently referring to the infamous 2009 MTV Music Video Awards show where he crashed Swift’s acceptance speech to give a shout out to Beyonce.
He said another reason was his wearing of the ‘Make America Great Again’ (MAGA) hat, a phrase associated with Donald Trump’s campaign.
“I never was allowed to do the Super Bowl because of three moments. George Bush don’t care about Black people. The Taylor Swift movement moment. Wearing a MAGA hat,” he wrote.
“How it feel to be the best living and blocked from the main stage because of being ahead of my time. (And I mean all of this before I went full Nazi of course).”
Kanye recently went on a prolonged social media outburst against Jay Z and other American celebrities he accused of betraying him.
He attacked Jay Z’s family, questioning the mental capacity of his colleague’s children.
He also put out a list of American artistes including international brands he has collaborated with, such as Adidas and Balenciaga, who he claimed betrayed him.
Jay Z and Beyonce are reportedly considering legal action against him over his disparaging remarks about their children.
