Kanye West, American hip-hop artiste and record producer, has announced the release date for ‘Jesus is Great’, his highly-anticipated debut gospel album.
According to the ‘Jesus Works’ crooner, the new album would be dropped on September 27.
The 42-year-old business mogul made the announcement date during his appearance in Batesville, Indiana.
He took to the stage during the Sunday service at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church to confirm the release date of the 12-track album Kim Kardashian West, his wife, had earlier broke the news.

Following the speech, West also updated his official website, with a screenshot of Kim Kardashians’s post of the album’s tracklist, which also features an open Bible and a yellow notepad with biblical excerpts scribbled across the page.
See tracklist below:

- ‘Garden’
- ‘Selah”
- ‘God Is’
- ‘Baptized’
- ‘Sierra Canyon’
- ‘Hands On’
- ‘Wake the Dead’

With the long-awaited ‘Yandhi’ still nowhere to be seen, ‘Jesus is King’ is expected to be reflective of the rapper’s recent gospel-heavy Sunday service sessions.
The singer, who had spoken publicly about his mental health problems, has also not dropped an album since his June 2018 release of ‘Ye’, his eight studio album.
