Kafayat Shafau, Nigerian dancer and choreographer better known as Kaffy, has narrated how her kids helped her overcome trauma.
The 41-year-old entertainer had earlier recalled how a medication she was allergic to nearly took her life.
This was shortly after the celebrity dancer lost her father in a development that left her in trauma.
But on Thursday, Kaffy took to her Instagram page to share crayon-painted love lovers written to her by her children.
“I get these often from my beautiful thoughtful kids but what amazes me is their timing,” she wrote in the caption.
“As parents, we often don’t give these kids enough credit to their understanding of situations around them. Even if they can’t explain it they feel it all our joy, victories, sorrow, and tears.
“This particular one hit home deeply as I was in a place where I was dealing with the trauma of nearly dying and dad passing and disappointments but God kept sending me messages from all around me and in the darkest hour.
“I slept and woke to this amazing write-up from my kids.”
Kaffy has had impressive stints as a dancer, leading her dancing group to break the Guinness World Record for Longest Dance Party in 2006.
