Juma Jux, the Tanzanian singer, is set to hold his first concert in Lagos on December 18.
The ‘God Design’ hitmaker unveiled the plans for the concert with a star-studded, drama-themed announcement video.
The clip featured a host of Nigerian celebrities and skit makers, including Toyin Abraham, Broda Shaggi, Samuel Banks, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Chioma Goodhair, and Iyabo Ojo, all eagerly anticipating the “special day”.
Explaining his decision to host the concert in Lagos, Jux expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming love and support he has received, stating that he feels “at home” in Nigeria.
He framed the upcoming event as more than just a performance, calling it a “family reunion” that will unite fans from Tanzania and Nigeria in a grand celebration of music and shared culture.
“The love and support you all have shown me has been incredible!! I feel at home in Nigeria. Every city has a rhythm, but Lagos has a soul,” he wrote.
“On December 18th, we go big and bring all the love, life, and legacy together! From Tanzania to Nigeria, straight away!
“JUMA JUX IN LAGOS. This isn’t just a concert, but a family reunion; and I can’t wait to share this energy with you all- let the story begin and have a lit Detty December.”
The concert promises to be a pan-African showcase. A magazine featured in the announcement video promised “the biggest show in Lagos,” with “special appearances from across the continent”.
It teased that “our in-law, Juma Jux, and his brothers from East Africa will be here to shut it down alongside Nigeria’s biggest artists”.
