The film star was reflecting on basic personal hygiene men should observe before and after sexual intercourse in an Instagram post.

Juliet described the vagina as “a very delicate” part of the body and a “woman’s temple” which should be kept clean and healthy always.

According to her, men should wash their hands and brush their teeth before and after indulging in oral sex.

She added that they should also ensure that their nails are properly cut during such moments.

The actress said if such basic personal hygiene is not taken seriously, germs and bacteria could be deposited on the vagina in the process.

“I cannot believe that in 2022, I am (still) arguing with a friend who sees nothing wrong with these things. Her excuse was that, ‘What if it’s a quickie’?” she wrote.

“Honestly, guys, please take this from me; a woman’s vagina is very delicate. It is her temple. Help her to keep it clean, safe and healthy. Stop using dirty hands and saliva on it.

“Brush your teeth and tongue before and after oral sex, and cut your nails before any touching. Germs that cause bacteria are bred on such. Girls, please learn these basic hygiene practices and stay clean.”

Felice Gersh, a doctor and author of ‘PCOS SOS: A Gynecologist’s Lifeline to Naturally Restore Your Rhythms, Hormones, and Happiness’ had previously explained why using saliva in the vagina just might be dangerous.

“Any STI in the throat or mouth can be transmitted to the genitals through saliva,” Gersh told Health.
