In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the comedian argued that many Nigerians do not watch his skits because they “can not relate to my jokes”.

The 33-year-old Anambra-born content creator also said it takes “very high intellect to relate to my jokes”.

“One thing about Josh2funny jokes is that sometimes it takes like a very high intellect to relate to my jokes. That is why I do not have a lot of Nigerian fans,” he said.

“Trust me, I watch my demography. It is dry humour and dry humour is the most difficult. So it is real, like it is too real in your face so you do not get it.”

Josh2funny described his appearance on America’s Got Talent (AGT) as “divine” while revealing he did not apply for the show. He said the first time he received an email from AGT, he thought it was a fraud.

“The crazy thing is that it is divine actually. Because my parents had visited and they were praying for me and then my brother who is my manager came in with a laptop,” he said.

“He said bro I just received a mail from America’s Got Talent, I checked the mail and I’m like no that’s a scam. Don’t do it, don’t click any link but I eventually did.

“It came out of nowhere, I did not apply. It was a producer that saw one of my audition videos and he was like the guy you got to come on the show and that’s how it went.”

Josh2funny performed at the America’s Got Talent in August 2023.

The comedian delivered three extremely unusual jokes which include “fastest rapper in the world,” the “fastest reader in the world,” and the “best magician in the world”
