Joke Silva, the Nollywood star, says she could not look after her sister who died of cancer.
The actress reflected on the passing of Bisi Silva, her younger sister, who died after battling cancer in 2019.
She was speaking during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the TV host.
Joke said she shared a bond with Bisi but could not be there for her because her daughter was also sick.
“There are discussions that I have with her that I cannot have with anyone else,” she said.
“When we discovered she had cancer, she called me aside and said, ‘look Joke, this what I found.’ I said, ‘Okay, we’ve got to find out what it is.’ Then we did the tests and we discovered that she had cancer.”
The veteran film star said she could only be present for her sister’s first lumpectomy.
“At the same time, another person I loved very much was ill. And so, I couldn’t look after her,” she added.
The ace actor also touched on her husband Olu Jacob’s absence from the public and the loss of her daughter in 1996.
Earlier, she had revealed that Jacobs was battling dementia after pictures showed her husband had lost weight.
