Joke Silva, a Nollywood actress, says she and Olu Jacobs, her husband, have not endorsed any drug for the treatment of diabetes or any other health conditions.
The 58-year-old business mogul took to her Instagram page on Wednesday to share a clip in which she refuted claims by individuals believed to have attributed their names to the drug.
“Olu Jacobs and I have NOT endorsed any medication to treat diabetes or any drug for the treatment of any ailment,” Silva captioned the disclaimer.
“If and when we do the public will be informed in advance on our platforms and it will be audiovisual.”
Last month, the veteran movie star had also called out a British media organisation over an article alleged to be “derogatory” to African heritage.
This was about the same time when she was appointed chairman of Lagos’ COVID-19 pandemic review committee.
It was gathered that the committee would make recommendations to the government towards rejuvenating the state’s economy, particularly with regard to the tourism and showbiz industries.
“I am very lucky to have intelligent people as members of the committee because they are men and women who are very knowledgeable and passionate about the industry,” she had said.
“I know that our collaboration will result in good recommendations. The creative industry has been greatly affected by COVID-19, but we will get through it.”
