Jesse Jagz Abaga, prolific Nigerian rapper, will not release his ‘Odysseus’ album in 2016.

The Chocolate City rapper on Tuesday apologised to his fans around the world, saying that he is still working on the album.

“Sincere apology to my fans worldwide. My album Odysseus will not be dropping this year anymore,am still working on it with my team to give you all a top quality records,” he wrote.

Back in August, the rapper known as Jesse Jagz, informed TheCable Lifestyle that he promised his fans “three albums” in 2016.

In that interview, he said he’d make good on his promise but today’s announcement says otherwise.

“I promised three albums this year. I’m back. If you go online, you’ll see fans going, ‘But you promised us three albums’. In this amount of time I have enough songs for the three albums,” Jesse Jagz had said.

Jesse had also warned that fans might not find his album for N150 “because it’s filled with music and empty CD is 200 naira”.

The rapper/producer had said: “So by the time I’m done in the studio, by Nigerian standards, a CD that has content on it has less value than an empty original CD. I can’t work that hard for that. My album is great music so I always hope for the best. I’ve been working on this for a while.”

Jesse Jagz is the younger brother of M.I Abaga, president of Chocolate City.
