The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says no date has been fixed for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration as rumoured in some quarters.
There have been speculations over when the board will commence registration for this year’s UTME with some unverified reports suggesting a date had been fixed.
But in a Twitter post on Tuesday, JAMB stated that it is yet to fix a date for this year’s UTME registration.
The board also enjoined the public to disregard tweets from unverified accounts about its UTME registration, adding that it will disclose the date in due course.
“This is to inform the general public that no date has been fixed for 2021 UTME registration. Kindly disregard any tweet from a fake account that stated otherwise. The general public will be duly informed when the date is fixed. Thank you,” it wrote.

Last Sunday, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s head of media and publicity, had said that the board would announce the date for the sale of application forms for the 2021/2022 academic session in a week’s time.
“All admissions in the nation’s tertiary institutions for the 2020/2021 academic Session would end by June 15. The decision was collectively taken at a virtual meeting with heads of tertiary institutions in the country on 24th February, 2021,” he had said.
