The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released results of the first batch of candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Fabian Benjamin, head of public affairs, JAMB, made this known in a statement on Tuesday.

He said the results of 742, 906 candidates who sat for the examination on Saturday and Monday were released within 24 hours.

742,906 candidates, he said, took the examination on Saturday, May 13, while 401,292 candidates wrote UTME on Monday, May 14.

At the moment, 1,144,198 out of the total 1,718,425 candidates slated for the examination this year have written the UTME.

“Candidates are to check their email addresses or visit the board’s website for the results,” he said.

“A total of 742, 906 candidates sat for the examination on Saturday and Monday. Another 401,292 candidates are expected to join them today, raising the number to 1, 144, 198 out of 1, 718,425.”

The UTME exercise will be concluded on Saturday, May 20.
