The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of its 2022 mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).
The exam, which was written by candidates who missed the board’s 2022 UTME due to systemic faults, was held on August 6.
Fabian Benjamin, the JAMB PRO, announced in a statement on Wednesday that results for the exam are out.
“All a candidate needs to do is to simply send RESULT to 55019 using the same phone number that he/she had used for registration and the result would be returned as a text message,” he said.
“Candidates can also print their results from the Board’s website www.jamb.gov.ng after linking their email address to their profile.
“The Board, in line with its desire to adhere to the ease of doing business protocol of the government, has adopted this user-friendly and simplified process of checking UTME results.
“Furthermore, this simplified process would also serve to preclude the unconscionable exploitation of candidates by shylock business centers and cyber cafes which often take advantage of hapless candidates.”
The board, via its weekly bulletin made available to TheCable Lifestyle, said it had scheduled mop-up exams for some candidates in ten centres across five states.
It stated that the decision followed careful investigations.
“JAMB, in the spirit of equity and fairness, has conducted a mop-up examination for the affected candidates numbering about 40,399 candidates on Saturday, 6th August 2022,” it had said.
“The mop-up examination, which took place in (45) centres across the country, was seamless given the various measures put in place by the Board for a hitch-free exercise.”
