The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has asked candidates who sat for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) to check their results through its portal.
According to NAN, the examination board said the USSD code earlier put up for use witnessed some challenges.
JAMB had, on Friday, released the results of candidates who sat for its 2021 UTME between June 19 and 22.
The board had directed candidates to check their results by sending “UTMERESULT” to the USSD code “55019” through the GSM number they used to obtain their profile code.
Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s head of protocol/public affairs, on Saturday told journalists that a glitch has affected the functionality of the USSD code.
Benjamin said the USSD method had been suspended because of some challenges. According to him, candidates can check their results from anywhere there is internet access.
“It has come to the attention of the board that the result checking on USSD code 55019 is saddled with challenges. The Board hereby directs all candidates to visit the JAMB portal to check for their 2021 UTME result,” he said.
“Each candidate is to follow these simple steps: Visit https://www.jamb.gov.ng, on the menu bar, click on e-facility, on the page that shows up, click on UTME 2021 Main Results Notification Slip.
“Enter your registration number and click the button Check My Result.”
