Iyanya, the singer, has shut down rumours that he slept with a female fan he met at Davido’s concert before gifting her an iPhone.
In April 2023, Iyanya met Florence, a fan he encountered at Davido’s ‘Timeless’ concert in Lagos.
They went on a date, and Florence confided in him about her struggles with a relative battling cancer.
To uplift her spirit, Iyanya provided her with temporary accommodation, and bought her clothes, perfumes, and even an iPhone.
The ‘Kukere’ singer said his intentions were “purely” to make her happy.
However, in a post via X on Sunday, a user with the handle @Antiape1 alleged that Iyanya admitted to sleeping with Florence twice before giving her the iPhone.

“I slept with Florence just twice, and I gave her the iPhone I promised her —-Iyanya confessed in new interview,” the user wrote.
The singer, in response, denied the claim, demanding evidence of such confession.
He also expressed disappointment that a woman would spread negativity about another woman.
“Are you mad or something? Where did I say such a thing? How can a woman be trying to be evil towards another woman? Post a video where I said that fool,” he wrote.
Iyanya rose to fame after winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa. He released his debut album in 2011.
The singer co-founded the record label MMMG with Ubi Franklin, the music executive, the same year.
He has established himself as a household name in the Nigerian music industry with several awards and recognition.
