Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh recently visited Ebony Vault, a funeral home in Ikoyi, Lagos, amid preparation for the burial of Mohbad.
The 27-year-old artiste died on September 12 and was buried the next day.
But last Thursday, the police exhumed Mohbad’s corpse for autopsy and are awaiting the results.
The corpse is expected to be reburied after the outcome of the autopsy.
Iyabo Ojo took to her Instagram page on Thursday to give a glimpse of their preparations as they chose a casket for the burial.
The actress said Dehinde Harrison, the vault’s CEO, gave them a free casket, a free hall, and a huge discount for the vault.
Other items secured, according to her, were “free pallbearers, free horns men, 2 fresh wreaths, 2 wreath bearers, and a horse carriage”.
“A visit to Ebony Vault, IKOYI in preparation for general Mohbad’s befitting burial,” she wrote.
“The CEO of @ebonyfuneralng gave us a free casket, a free hall, a huge discount for the vault, free pallbearers, a free horns men, 2 fresh wreaths, 2 wreath bearers, a horse carriage, Thanks to my sister @tontolet.”

In a live session, Ojo said a date for the burial fixed by the family would be announced when the police release the body to them.
“We do not want it to be that by the time we are now ready to bury him, we will start running helter-skelter. The body is still with them, there is no date yet fixed for his final burial. Finally, when they are done with the body, they will get to the family. The family will fix a date and then I am sure we will announce it,” she said.

On September 18, the Lagos police inaugurated a 13-man special investigation team to probe Mohbad’s death.
The police also assured the public that there was “no underhand dealing” during the autopsy on the corpse.
Thousands of fans have protested nationwide while demanding justice for the late singer.
