Damson Idris, the British actor of Nigerian descent, says he has “never faced rejection from a woman” when pursuing romance.

The ‘Snowfall’ star spoke about his love life during a recent appearance on Chicken Shop Date, the popular interview series hosted by Amelia Dimoldenberg.

When asked how many times he had been turned down after asking someone out, the 33-year-old actor simply replied, “never”.

Idris was previously in a high-profile relationship with American model Lori Harvey, but the couple broke up in November 2023 after dating for a year.

Born Adamson Alade-Bo Idris in Peckham, South-East London, to a Nigerian family of Yoruba descent in 1991, he is the youngest of six children.

With a degree in drama from Brunel University, he started his career as a stage actor before venturing into television and film roles.

The actor took on minor roles in a few series but gained prominence for his role in ‘SnowFall’, the 2017 crime drama.

He has featured in a number of movies and has bagged a plethora of nominations and awards for his craft.

In 2019, he won the Best Actor in a British Film category at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

He also clinched the BET Awards for Best Actor in 2023.
