Blessing CEO, the media personality, claims that IVD, the celebrity car dealer, has been arrested.
On Saturday, reports surfaced on social media claiming IVD was arrested on Friday.
Several of the accounts alleged he was apprehended while attempting to leave the country despite a travel ban.
The reports linked the ban to an ongoing domestic violence case involving his late wife, Bimbo.
IVD’s wife died in October 2022, sparking a series of allegations in the aftermath, with her sister notably accusing him of being responsible for her death.
But in an Instagram post, Blessing argued that the car dealer has no travel ban while describing the arrest as a “game of politics and dirty emotions”.
She claimed that IVD had never jumped bail since the case began and questioned why he would run over a short trip with a return ticket.
She alleged that his detention was being influenced by personal interests rather than justice, while calling on the state to intervene.
“IVD never submitted any passport to the court. His passport was missing, and after 2 years of the case, he obtained a new passport,” she wrote.
‘There was no ban whatsoever on him. If there was, why would he make his travel public? IVD has never jumped bail for 3 years of the ongoing case, so why would he run for just a 10-day trip that has a return ticket?
“This is a game of politics and dirty emotions, and I hope there is paperwork. I will question the law.
“What are you charging him for? Show us the paperwork. Why are you holding him hostage just to please a woman?
“This is tribal war, it has nothing to do with justice, and the state must be questioned. Nobody arrested IVD. One man is using power to bully IVD. No case file, no statement, just said oga said hold him till Monday so we go lock am up. My question is for what???
“They know the judges are on vacation, that is why the bully. How come bloggers know everything that police don’t know I wonder how much that woman paid you, oga I rest my case.
“Stop bullying IVD because he is a man. Stop intimidating him just because you could not take his life, you are doing everything to intimidate him. This is an injustice.
‘They have bullied him for over 3 years. Lagos state, please come into this before it gets messy. Why are they holding IVD?”
Blessing further claimed that IVD was arrested on the orders of “the same woman who wanted him dead” and accused her of manipulating the system.
She alleged that he is being detained without formal charges, while bloggers are being paid to spread false information about him.
“Till now, they are keeping IVD with no charges yet. Nobody asked lVD not to travel, if they did why would will make it public?” she added.
“It is the same woman who wanted him dead who is manipulating the system. How do you bundle someone since yesterday and not even a file of what he did, yet the so-called in-law is paying bloggers to write nonsense.
“How come the bloggers know what is not on paper. This is pure bullying, and this time we must question the system. IVD is being bullied and intimidated.”
Blessing CEO and IVD got engaged in April.
