Toke Makinwa, Nigerian OAP, has denied undergoing plastic surgery to modify her facial features.
The media personality replied to a Twitter user who spotted the distinct curvature of her chin in a recent photo.
“Toke Makinwa was so pretty, Now she’s ruined her face with this ridiculous plastic surgery procedure. What is pretty about looking like an isosceles triangle?” the fan had asked, sharing the said photograph.

In response, Toke clarified that the changes were a function of a social media image filter.
I don’t have a problem with plastic surgery or people trying to improve themselves but there’s a problem with excessive or addictive procedures, and as someone who’s followed your journey and been a cheerleader, you’ve always been so pretty.
I’m glad your chin is not a triangle.

Following Toke’s denial, the Twitter user added: “You have a ton of photos with a new chin, Toke.
“If the specific photo in question that I quoted is a filter, I’ll concede on that, but it’s not today you suddenly developed a different chin from your original face shape. If that’s a filter too, it clearly makes you happy so np.”
Last June, Nina Onyenobi, ex-BBNaija housemate, lost an ambassadorship deal after she had plastic surgery.
In 2019, Tonto Dikeh, an actress, had explained that she had to undergo plastic surgery to have her bum fixed.
Tony Rapu, a clergyman, had argued that plastic surgery wasn’t bad as erroneously believed in some quarters.
“The Bible is silent about plastic surgery, and there is really nothing in it that tells us it is wrong,” he had said.
