Many times, we find ourselves packing more than what we need for a trip.
While some items are basic necessities, others can be done without when you travel.
Here are five items you shouldn’t travel with on your next trip.
Checkbook
If you don’t absolutely need your checkbook on a trip, you might as well drop it home. Except it’s a business trip, your ATM and credit cards will do.
Always leave a copy of your route/guidebook behind with family
To be on the safe side, it is advisable that you leave a copy of your itinerary with your family so that someone other than you, would know how your movement would be.
Always leave copy of passport and data page
No one should travel with every means of identification. Unforeseen contingencies may sprout and your identification might be needed at home.
Gadgets/jewellery
Don’t travel with expensive gadgets and your jewellery. It is not safe and you would always come back to them.
Avoid everything that may look like a weapon
Save yourself the stress of being rejected by screening machine at the airport. Search your bags thoroughly for sharp objects or incriminating items.
