Harrysong, the Nigerian singer, has backtracked on his earlier claim that Soso Soberekon sent some boys to kill him.

On Tuesday, the singer was arrested at the airport in Lagos for claiming — in an interview — that Soberekon, the music executive, attempted to kill him.

But he was granted administrative bail and released from police detention on Wednesday after apologising to the music executive.

In a video shared via his Instagram page on Saturday, Harrysong said there was indeed an attempt to assassinate him by some unidentified individuals.

He, however, said Soberekon was not behind it.

The singer also appreciated the people who reached out to him during his arrest and waded into the matter.

“About the video that was trending last week that some group of boys made an attempt on my life, yes it was true,” he said.

“It was a group of boys that were misled, I now have clarity of what happened, it wasn’t Soso who sent them. Soso and I are good now. Thanks to everyone that reached out.”

The singer had earlier claimed his “words” during the interview were misinterpreted by the public.

“In the interview, there are a lot of expressions that was said that people took in different ways about Soso, Skiibii and Kcee. In all, I have a way of expressing my feelings to my people but as it stands now we are good,” he had said.
