Saga Adeolu, the former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, has confirmed that he and Nini Singh are now engaged.
Last month, photos and footage from the engagement of the reality TV stars surfaced on social media platforms.
In the footage, Saga was seen proposing to Nini in a room decorated with flowers and an inscription on the wall reading “will you be mine forever?”
The 29-year-old reality star went down on one knee to ask Nini to be his lifelong companion and she accepted the proposal.
The engagement video attracted congratulatory messages from their fans and BBNaija colleagues.
But Saga left many shocked after he said the proposal video was a skit from December 2022.
“I’m trying to be careful with my words, I don’t know what to say. It was an old video anyway,” he had said.
“An old video from December last year. I still don’t know how that video got out. Honestly, I don’t know.
“Someone called me and was like Saga your stuff is online. I asked what is online and he said my proposal video. I had to cut the call.
“This is making me shy because it was a very private video.”
When asked when the pair would eventually tie the knot, Saga said: “The what? The video was a skit. Let’s leave that topic.

But in a recent interview on Arise TV 360, Saga admitted that the proposal was not staged.
“Even we don’t know the date we are getting married, so everybody should please chill. Just to clarify, it wasn’t a skit,” he said.
“I’m not so jobless that I would wake up one morning and start proposing to someone and kissing, and all of that just to make people laugh or what.
“The thing is we had a brand engagement for the wine brand, earlier that day, and I already planned to propose after the shoot.
“The only link was that it was the same day. But it wasn’t a skit… Yes, the video is true, but you people should please allow us to live our private lives. We’ll appreciate it.”
