Ireti Doyle and Bucci Franklyn are starring in an Africa Magic original series to debut on May 28.
The show will premiere on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv channel 151) at 8:30 pm on Sunday.
‘The Hidden’ is a fictional thriller-drama where characters are portrayed in conflict at crucial life moments.
It sets out to explore a rigged society where the strong prey on the weak and culture is weaponised.
The show follows the life of a woman (played by Doyle) who has seen it all, become a shadow of her former self, and lost her loved ones to the brutal dividends of a once-thriving career.
But she seeks redemption in being a safe haven for others who seek refuge.
The character’s near-perfect demeanour, however, hides her thirst for vengeance.
Although none is related by blood, each character is connected to the other by hidden trauma, violence, and abuse.
Ireti Doyle is a veteran in the Nigerian film industry who has established herself as a versatile actress.
Her portrayal of complex characters has earned her critical acclaim and numerous accolades.
Bucci Franklyn, a rising star, has had previous works that have made him a sought-after actor in the industry.
In ‘The Hidden’, Franklyn plays Ireti Doyle’s longest-serving associate and most trusted partner.
He knows her intimately and has seen her in some of her weakest moments.
