Ini Edo, the Nigerian actress, has shared a first glimpse of her two-year-old daughter on the occasion of her birthday.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, the film star described Light, her daughter, as her “greatest gift and heart desire.”
“On the 15th of March 2021, God blessed me with the Greatest Gift and my biggest heart desire,” she wrote.
“A Shining LIGHT and the most precious, adorable little girl. I never knew how much my life would change and how much comfort and Joy a human could bring.
“My smart and loving Princess, I love you more than life itself. As you turn 2, I re-dedicate you to the God that Gave you to me.
“The One who never sleeps nor slumber… HE is doing an excellent job at taking care of us… Grow in wisdom and abundance of grace my little Angel. Mummy loves you too much.”

In December 2021, the film star revealed that she opted to have a child through surrogacy to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother.
Her choice of childbirth attracted criticism at the time.
In her reaction, the actress said the sperm donor is not a random person.
“Yes I do have a daughter and I had her through surrogacy. The Eggs are mine and so genetically she’s my blood. I still have a good number of eggs frozen in case I decide to do surrogacy again or carry my baby myself,” she had said.
“My daughter’s donor isn’t just a random person. Don’t make him any more than a donor. Now y’all can focus on what’s really important in the country and leave us the hell alone.”
