The actor was said to have gone ahead to provide graphic details of his former wife’s experience during a medical check-up.

Seemingly rankled by the video which went viral, Rafiq, who was married to Galih between 2011 to 2014, had filed a lawsuit against the trio.

She claimed that “Bau Ikan Asin”,  a comment made by Ginanjar, which means “the smell of salted fish”, had smeared her reputation after it gained traction across Indonesian local media.

Delivering the judgement, Agus Widodo, the judge at South Jakarta district court, held the trio were guilty of criminal defamation through the video, which was originally uploaded on Youtube in July 2019.

The court consequently sentenced Benua to one year and eight months in prison while Utami bagged a jail term of one year and four months. In the same vein, Ginanjar was sentenced to two years and four months in prison.

Apparently satisfied with the verdict, Rafiq took to her Instagram page to commend the court while the video has also been taken down.

“A lie can cover up the truth, but not eliminate it … it’s only a matter of time until the truth is revealed. .. AllahuAkbar .. Thanks God …,” she wrote in Indonesia.
