Cupid season may be five months away but love is wafting through the air, courtesy of Waje Iruobe’s new single.
On ‘In The Air’, The Voice Nigeria judge sings about finding love again — but a different, never-felt-before kind of love.
She sings: “I know say this nor be your first time. It’s definitely not my first time to love. This is different cos I feel it in the air. Something dey happen for here. There’s magic in the air.”
Seeking reassurance that the feeling is mutual, Waje adds: “I see the fire in your eyes, the same fire burning in my eyes. Shey e dey happen for your mind the way e dey happen for my mind? I no wan mistake am”.
‘In The Air’ is a decent follow-up single to ‘Mountains’, a ballad which had a guest appearance from South African singer Lira.
