The 35-year-old movie star was speaking in an interview with Hiptv while discussing how he handles the “lots of controversies” surrounding himself and his marriage.

“I don’t pay attention to external factors when it comes to my marriage. From the start, I told my parents to never involve themselves when it comes to my marriage. I don’t want anyone trying to influence my marriage decisions,” he said.

“A lot of people would come and say ‘Oh, IK, we told you. When they say don’t marry Oyinbo, You went to marry Oyinbo’. At the end of the day, this is a woman I love and want to have more kids with. So, I’m focused on her.

“We’re two people who understand each other better than any other person. I’ve fought my wife several times and we still make peace. At the end of the day, I’m grateful to God that we’re still together.”

On his ongoing projects, Ogbonna revealed he would be producing a sequel to his 2017 comedy movie ‘Excess Luggage’ and looks to consolidate his production company.

“Being an actor, at first, was just for the fame and the fact that ‘Hey, I’m on tv’. But, at some point, it dawned on me that this is serious business. This year, I’m trying to pay more attention to my production company and continue what we had going on,” he said.

Ogbonna is married to Sonia Morales. In 2018, the movie producer had to address the rumors surrounding the union after he was alleged to have split from the Colombian model.

In April, Ogbonna also threatened lawsuit against a US-based social media personality identified as Joyce after she alleged that the Nollywood star was jeopardising his marriage to Sonia with “gay” relationships.
