ID Cabasa, the music producer, says the purpose of marriage is procreation and not happiness.
In a recent interview with the Echo Room, ID Cabasa argued that the true purpose of marriage has been lost.
The music executive claimed that “God’s intention for creating marriage” is not to give happiness or satisfy people’s emotions.
He said the purpose of marriage is procreation and “to multiply and dominate the earth”.
ID Cabasa added that fulfilment will follow when couples align with this purpose.
“In the place of marriage there is God, the man and then there is the woman and the kids,” he said.
“So even God created marriage, the purpose of marriage unfortunately has been lost. I will say that the purpose was not to give you happiness or satisfy your feelings.
“The purpose was established in the Bible, and I am using the Bible, which says that we should multiply and dominate the earth.
“Happiness and every other thing is supposed to come as a benefit to you for that purpose.
“So if you follow that purpose where God is the head and man is the head of the family, this means that the man reports to God and the woman.”
Born Olumide Ogunade, ID Cabasa is the founder of Coded Tunes Records.
The music label had artistes such as Olamide, 9ice, 2Shotz, Reminisce, Lord of Ajasa, Seriki, Banky W, and Ajayi Brovas.
ID Cabasa married his partner Sijuade Ogunade in 2007.
The music executive had previously revealed that there were times when he considered ending his marriage.
He, however, said he could not leave his wife because of her contribution to his life and the sacrifices she made for him.
