Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, the ace actor fondly called Charles Olumo and Baba Agbako, says he still goes to movie locations despite his age.
The 101-year-old movie star spoke about his decades-long career in an interview with Kunle Afod, another actor.
Agbako was affirmative when Afod asked if he still visited movie locations. He said he is agile despite his age and then got up from his chair to jog and jump — in an attempt to prove it.
“I still go to movie locations, in fact, I still have a location I am going to,” he said.
Baba Agbako has become a household name, especially in the Yoruba film industry, with a career that spans over four decades.
Born on February 19, 1923 in Abeokuta, Ogun state, the film star once worked as a mechanic and later as an amateur boxer before venturing into acting.
He started his acting career in 1953 in the Apostolic Church, Mushin, in Lagos state and later began to train the drama groups of other churches.
Agbako eventually joined Nollywood and is well known for his action and scary persona roles in Yoruba films.
He has featured in a plethora of movies such as: ‘Taxi Driver’, ‘Jagun’, ‘Amin Orun’, ‘Aiye’, ‘Jayesinmi’, ‘Soworo Ide’, and ‘Igbo Dudu’.
