Maria Chike, the former BBNaija housemate, has denied a claim she sabotaged the marriage of Kelvin Anene, a one-time in-law of Cubana Chief Priest, the socialite.
Last October, Cubana Chief Priest accused Maria of having an affair with his sister’s husband, claiming it led to their divorce.
The nightlife promoter also claimed Maria didn’t only have an affair with his in-law but also threatened his sister.
“She stole my sister’s husband. As if that’s not enough, she is sending her threats. That I won’t let it slide,” he had said.
“Divorce was just served barely a month ago. My sister gave up the marriage after finding out Kelvin sponsored the big brother movement.
“Also when she came to Dubai to see her husband who does not pick up calls again, Maria opened the door for her, putting on the husband’s t-shirt.
“I personally gave Kelvin who managed maria’s account while she was in big brother. All we ask is to let her not receive threats again. She has moved out of their matrimonial home in Owerri to Abuja.
“Let her be respected. they were never divorced since 2018, she just started the process which he is yet to respond.”
While replying to comments about her relationship with Kelvin, Maria put out a flurry of tweets addressing the allegations.
She denied sabotaging Kelvin’s marriage while also dismissing claims that she had multiple sexual affairs.
“I’m going to address this once and only this once. I’ve been quiet on the whole husband snatcher issue. I did not ruin any home. My silence is for the best of so many people involved,” she wrote.
“That I haven’t said my peace doesn’t make me weak. I am respecting so many people involved and their privacy.
“And for the rumours of me sleeping with several married men including a pastor, we both laughed at it cause we literally breathe each other’s air, day in and day out. No room for dishonesty. When and if I ever start doing ‘runs’.
“Not that I have any intentions of this or knock any one-off their hustle, but my man does look after me. And my family is also very much okay to look after me. And I work my ass off to look after myself.”
