Daddy Freeze, Nigerian OAP, says he is not afraid of being interrogated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) over link to Hushpuppi, the embattled socialite.
The spotlight recently beamed on Hushpuppi, who was arrested in Dubai last year for cyber fraud, after he indicted Abba Kyari, a top detective.
The Instagram celebrity had alleged that he bribed the deputy commissioner of police (DCP) to arrest Chibuzo, his co-fraudster and rival.
Although Kyari dismissed the allegations, an investigation by the FBI claimed the detective collaborated with Hushpuppi to facilitate the arrest of Chibuzo.
The FBI also secured a court order for Kyari’s arrest following his indictment.
Amid the ensuing saga, some social media users had demanded the probe of Daddy Freeze over his relationship with Hushpuppi.
In June last year, the controversial OAP came under backlash for dinning with the socialite in Dubai while he gave the radio personality a tour of his Versace palace.
At the time, Daddy Freeze had hit back at critics, saying he only went to interview the socialite with his team and did not collect any money from him as alleged.
But the saga resurfaced again after DCP Kyari’s alleged involvement in the case.
Reacting in a video shared on his Instagram page, Daddy Freeze said he is ready for interrogation by the FBI if called upon, adding that he has nothing to hide.
“You guys need to get away from this mentality that anybody who gets to hang out with anybody must be collecting money from that person,” he said.
“I will not lie I am disappointed in Hush and if I see him I will tell him. Because you fed the rumours, tomorrow if somebody is buying a Ferrari then the person must be a thief.
“Someone said Freeze dey fear. I don talk am if you nor get sense you go dey talk nonsense. I don talk if FBI wan question me, make dem dare me, I ready answer anybody question. What do I have to hide?
“They will come and I’ll give them all my bank details. Let them check all the money with me and see if I have any Dubai money in my hands that is traced to Hushpuppi. It is when you have something to hide that you’ll be worried. What I wanted from Hushpuppi was an interview.”
