Canadian rapper, Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham and his Nigerian counterpart, Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun, have surprisingly failed to react to their leaked collaboration 24 hours after it went viral.
Hush Up The Silence, a slow-paced song with a Caribbean melody, made its way to Soundcloud on Saturday.
It is the first release (of any kind) of 2017 by Drake while Wizkid has already put out Daddy Yo.
Despite the reactions that have trailed the song, neither Drake nor Wizkid has addressed the leak on any of their social media platforms.
As at the time of this report, the song has been removed from the Soundcloud page of 6ixwaves, one of the first places it leaked on the internet.
HUTS is the third collaboration between the two artists.
Drake and Skepta remixed Wizkid’s monster hit, Oljuelegba, in 2015 and he would later feature the Nigerian star in his 2016 chart topper, One Dance.
One Dance, which was one of the most successful songs of 2016, earned Wikid his first ever Grammy awards nomination.
For now, no one knows for certain whose album Hush Up The Silence would end up on.
It could either be on Drake’s upcoming More Life project or on Wizkid’s forthcoming LP titled Sounds From the Other Side.
Wizkid has announced that he would release four mixtapes in 2017.
