The police in Nasarawa state have arrested Mohammed Zangina, an alleged “serial blackmailer who extorts ladies using their nude photos”.

In a lengthy Twitter thread on Friday, Gimba Kakanda, the journalist and author, said Zangina had threatened to release the nudes of one of his victims — who is under 18.

He said the young man had demanded that the lady visit him in Keffi so they could have sex. The journalist added that Zangina also vowed to release her nudes if she doesn’t show up.

Kakanda disclosed that the young man’s request had come after he allegedly blackmailed and extorted the lady on several occasions.

The author said when he got wind of the incident, he and Japheth Omojuwa, founder and chief strategist at Alpha Reach, had discussed ways to ensure Zangina was nabbed by the police “in a sting operation”.

Kakanda disclosed that he reached out to “a friend of ours” at the police headquarters in Abuja who called the divisional police officer (DPO) in Keffi to help facilitate the operation.

The journalist said he then told the lady to “play along” while he drove her to Keffi to meet Zangina.

He said while “at their rendezvous”, Zangina tried to play smart by asking the lady to “keep on taking photos of her surroundings throughout her trip.”

Kakanda revealed that the police officers assigned to follow them had concealed their identities so Zangina won’t become suspicious during the operation.

The journalist also disclosed that the suspect had taken several aphrodisiacs in preparation for the lady’s visit.

He said Zangina was eventually arrested and bundled to the police station where he is currently detained.

He further revealed that the suspect “had nudes of so many women saved in his phone, which is now with the police.”

Kakanda said Zangina told the police he has a wife and two kids.

The development has continued to earn the commendations of many Nigerians on Twitter.
