Helen Prest-Ajayi has taken to social media to celebrate Oluwatosin Ajayi, her late husband, on his posthumous birthday.
In an Instagram post on Monday, the former beauty queen said it’s sad coming to terms with the fact that her husband has passed away.
The UK-trained lawyer also reflected on the beautiful memories they shared together before his eventual demise, noting that she misses him every day.
“Darling Doc’ your birthday is here, but it’s sad to know that you are no longer here. I miss you more each passing day. You were always protective and loving and I treasure the memories we shared. Happy birthday in heaven dear,” she wrote.
Ajayi breathed his last at 68 on April 20 last year but was buried on February 11, 2021 — about 10 months after his death.
Helen had earlier narrated how she was accused of killing her husband of 25 years by the deceased’s first wife and older children.
“It was never my wish to talk about the passing of my late husband Dr Tosin Ajayi on social media, despite the fact that during this 10 month period, from his death on April 26th 2020, I was accused of murdering him by his adult children and their mother after spending 42 days in St Nicholas Hospital by his bedside and dragged to Panti police station, then to coroners court and then to High court,” she had said.
