The Remedies, a pioneering Nigerian hip-hop music group, reunited onstage at the Headies awards 2016.
The Headies awards, apart from recognising emerging talents, also served as an avenue for music fans to relive the tunes of veteran artistes.
The Remedies, which consist of Eedris Abdulkareem, Tony Tetuila (pictured) and Eddy Remedy, enjoyed commercial acclaim in the 90s and early 2000s when they were the biggest Nigerian group.
At the Headies awards which held on Thursday at Eko Convention Center, Lagos, the group performed old songs like ‘Omoge’ and ‘Shakomo’.
The crowd loved every bit of their performance and sang along word for word as they belted out evergreen hits.
The Remedies, while performing appreciated Ayo Animashaun, the brain behind Headies award, for the opportunity given them to perform at the event.
Once signed under Kennis Music, the group said that there would be no Remedies without Headies.
Apart from The Remedies, Daddy Showkey and Ras Kimono were a couple of the veterans who performed on the night.
