Emeka Rollas, president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has reacted to the viral videos insinuating Hanks Anuku is “mentally unstable”.

On Monday, a video of a man believed to be the ace actor surfaced online and stirred concerns about Anuku’s well-being.

The man was also seen talking to himself while dressed in tattered clothes.

Shortly after the video surfaced online, Shan George debunked the claim, saying Anuku is “not insane” as widely feared.

The actress added that they were both on a movie set “three days ago”.

Adanma Luke, however, countered the claim by Shan George, her colleague, that Anuku is “sane”.

“Please you all Nollywood peeps should stop with the lies when you know the truth. He isn’t okay so let him get help now that the world knows,” she had written.

“Stop with the cover-up if he was your blood you would have helped but now that the world is about to find out the truth you all try to hide it. Hank isn’t okay so let’s allow him to get help now before it’s too late.”

In a chat with TheCable Lifestyle, Rollas said the guild is currently investigating the viral videos.

The AGN president said it is still unknown if the man in the video is Anuku.

“We have no official reaction at the moment because we’re still investigating to know what really happened,” he said.

Anuku has established a name for himself as one of the prominent actors in the Nigerian movie industry.
