Google has unveiled Pixel Buds, a new smartphone accessory that can translate 40 languages.
The earbuds which connect to smartphones via Bluetooth will be sold for $159.
It is the brand’s first wireless earphones, designed to be compatible with the Pixel smartphone.
Users can also queue up music using their voice, with the help Google assistant.
Google assistant will enable users to converse and hear translations of different languages in real time.
In a live demonstration by Google, users spoke in English and had a full translation of their conversation in another language.
The Pixel Buds include up to five hours of listening time on a single charge, “one-touch” audio control, and “high quality” audio.
Apart from the access to Google assistant, other features include Bluetooth connectivity, a five-hour battery life plus a chargeable case with 24 hours of use.
