Sonia Adesuwa, the businesswoman, has taken to social media to gush over Odion Ighalo, her ex-husband.

Ighalo, a former Super Eagles player, tied the knot with Sonia in 2009. They share three children — two boys and a girl. Their marriage, however, crashed in 2020 over alleged infidelity.

Last year, Sonia revealed that their marriage ended in 2019 but they came back together before it finally crashed in 2022.

She claimed Ighalo had an affair with a BBNaija female celebrity, a Nollywood actress, and a disc jockey (DJ).

Sonia also alleged that Martina Ighalo, the footballer’s mother, “disgraced” her on social media.

She argued that Ighalo has not moved on but “still desires reconciliation despite our split”.

But in a series of Instagram posts on Wednesday, Adesuwa praised the ex-Eagles player, describing him as “a responsible father who loves his children”.

She encouraged women to prioritize marrying a God-fearing man who would take responsibility for their children’s well-being, even in the event of divorce.

“Despite say my coconut head no de gree GOD bless him. Owie Baba Paulo. Egbefuwere. DSB are grateful. God bless all the responsible fathers out there I pray Psalm 128:2 into your lives Amen,” she wrote.

“My sis no be to marry. Try marry a God-fearing man wey loves children. So that if things sour between una and you decide to move on re-marry, he will still be there for his children.

“I told my ex that I was craving Kilishi at exactly 1 pm to be precise. Guy sent one of his boys in Abuja to send me Kilishi by asap and delivered it himself the same day.

“Sis, find better man for your unborn children o E get why.”

She also recalled how her ex-husband would go to any length to satisfy her cravings.

Last month, Adesuwa advised men not to marry women above their pay grades.
