Gentle Jack, a Nigerian actor, has taken to social media to pen a glowing tribute to his late mother.
The Nollywood star’s mother is believed to have passed away in November several years ago.
In a post on his Instagram page on Wednesday, the 49-year-old recounted fond memories of his late mother, who he described as “Nane”, adding that he misses her.
The actor said his late mum taught him a lot of things about life that have helped him as a grown-up man.
“Rest on sweet mother you taught me a lot today. I’m a grown-up man Rest in peace my mother. NANE I miss you,” he wrote in the post accompanied by his late mother’s photo.
Jack made his Nollywood debut in 1997 when he featured in ‘Blood Money’ which also starred Pete Edochie, an ace movie star.
He rose to prominence in 1998 when he featured in ‘Vuga’ and has since established himself as a household name in the country’s movie industry.
Jack has featured in over 250 movies including ‘War Front’, ‘The Ghost’, ‘Light Out’, ‘State of Emergency’, ‘Black Diamond’, ‘Ebube’ and ‘Ijele’.
He has also snagged several awards and recognitions including ‘Most Promising Actor in Nigeria’ at the Africa Movie Academy Awards and ‘Best Actor of the Year’ at the City People Entertainment Awards.
