Gbenga Adeyinka, the ace Nigerian comedian, is set to hold the 2025 finale of Laffmattazz on November 23.
The event tagged ‘The Last Show’ is slated to hold at Balmoral Convention Center, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Speaking about the location choice, Adeyinka said this year’s show holds special meaning for him because Lagos shaped his journey and gave him his voice.
He added that Lagos represents a vibrant and diverse spirit, which he plans to reflect on stage.
“This year’s show is special for me. Lagos made me who I am, and it feels right to close the year in the city that gave me my voice and my audience,” he said.
“Lagos is more than a location. It’s a spirit; vibrant, diverse and full of life. We’re bringing that essence to the stage.”
He appreciated the show’s “longtime supporters”, adding that Laffmattazz has proven comedy’s power to unite people across all divides.
“This is a thank-you note to everyone who has supported us since day one. Comedy is one of Nigeria’s strongest exports. Through Laffmattazz, we’ve shown that laughter truly unites people, no matter where they are,” he said.
The night will bring together celebrities such as Alibaba, Niniola, 9ice, Sunny Neji, Timi Dakolo, Omobaba, Edo Pikin, Musiliu Haruna Ishola, and Dr Smile, among others.
