‘Marriage Story’, a Netflix film which revolves around divorce, has dominated the nomination list for the 77th Golden Globes.

The movie, produced by Noah Baumbach, was nominated for for best drama, actress (Scarlett Johansson), actor (Adam Driver), supporting actress (Laura Dern), screenplay (Baumbach) and score (Randy Newman).

In what marked a remarkable year for Netflix, ‘The Irishman’ and ‘Two Popes’ were also nominated for best drama alongside with two movies from traditional studios, ‘1917’ and ‘Joker.’

In total, Netflix racked up 17 total nominations to topple other streaming service companies.

The award event is scheduled to hold on January 5, 2020 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
