The 97th Academy Awards ceremony (the Oscars) was held on Sunday night at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
‘Anora,‘ a 2024 American romantic comedy-drama film written, directed, produced, and edited by Sean Baker, was the biggest winner of the night, earning five awards including the ‘Best Picture’ category.
‘Anora’ star Mikey Madison was named ‘Best Actress’ while Sean won a record-breaking four awards for his film: ‘Best Director,’ ‘Best Original Screenplay,’ ‘Best Film Editing’ and ‘Best Picture’.
The award event was hosted by Conan O’Brien while winners were announced in 23 categories.
