Franklyn Ikemefuna, whose stage name is Vader, has won the fourth season of Hennessy Artistry VS Class.
Ikemefuna emerged the best out of the 40 rappers chosen to participate in the radio competition after live and online audition sessions about two months ago.
Speaking on his journey through the competition, he said: “I feel I had to lose in order to win and I sincerely appreciate the class master, Vector.
“He has always been a mentor, every time I see him, there is always something to learn. I was built for this type of competition. I was made for this.“
VS Class is a platform for upcoming rappers and hip-hop fiends to showcase their skills and compete in lyrical battles.
Winner of last season, Holyfield, got signed to Aristokrat Records, and he’s set to release his debut album this year.
As the winner, Vader won an album deal with Aristokrat Records, and will also undergo a one-year mentorship with rapper Vector.
