Contrary to widespread rumours, Don Moen, American gospel singer-songwriter, is not dead.
Fans of the well-known evangelist received news of his alleged demise via an article written by Houston Chronicle, claiming the singer died after a short illness.
The website broke the news early Wednesday morning saying the family confirmed he had died barely hours after he was rushed to the General Acute Care Hospital.
The website also claimed that he “battled stomach pain”.
Frank Edwards, Nigerian gospel singer, reached out to the legendary minister and his son in a bid to shut down the rumours.
He subsequently took to his Instagram page, changing his display picture to that of Moen, to set the story right.
He called on bloggers to confirm stories before going ahead to publish.
“Don Moen is very strong and OK. He is not going anytime soon,” he wrote in part.
The recording artiste also shared screenshots of his conversation with Moen and his son, Micheal.
If you had been fretting over Moen’s rumoured death, you can now heave a sigh of relief.
