The Nollywood actress took to her Instagram page on Friday to make a clip where she cleared the air on the financial assistance she had rendered to the trio, adding that they didn’t ask for it.

Daramola said the last time she heard from Iya Awero, the 69-year-old veteran actress was discussing her forthcoming birthday party.

“I don’t know why people twist things. It’s so unfair and so sad. It has come to my notice that people have been calling me concerning Uncle Lari, Iya Awero and Baba Feyikogbon,” Daramola said.

“These people have not begged me for food or money in any way.  As I’ve said, it’s just my own prerogative and way of supporting the little way I can.

“I don’t know why everybody is saying that Iya Awero is suffering or something like that. The video that I posted of Uncle Lare, we were even dancing together.

“Uncle Lare was discussing with me about the launch of his book. Iya Awero was saying she wants to have a birthday party. I don’t know why people are rumouring that these people are suffering.

“At what point? They have children that are taking care of them. I only just supported her as a child would have supported a mother. Don’t write things defaming people unnecessarily.

“It’s really unheard of and it’s not fair. I don’t want all these. I only said I was giving older people my own little support. They never asked me for money.”

Since making her film debut in ‘Palace,’ a 1998 series, the actress has featured in several movies.

In 2013, the actress bagged nomination for Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
