Fireboy DML, the Nigerian singer, has revealed an upcoming collaborative project with Lojay, his colleague.
In a recent interview with Beat FM, Fireboy said he has a “great relationship” with Lojay and that their joint Extended Play (EP) is in the works.
“I am working on a joint EP with Lojay. We have a very great relationship in the studio,” he said.
The singer recently released ‘Adedamola’, his fourth studio album, where he enlisted Lojay and other music heavyweights like Lagbaja, Seun Kuti, DJ Spinall, and US singer Jon Batiste.
Speaking about his experience working with Lagbaja, Fireboy described him as the most meticulous artiste he has ever encountered.
He added that despite spending significant time together in the studio, Lagbaja never removed his mask.
“Lagbaja is the most meticulous artiste I ever worked with. I wished he had taken his mask off but he wore it all through our time in the studio. I learnt a lot from him during the session,” he added.
Fireboy, who rose to fame with his 2019 hit single ‘Jealous’, was signed to YBNL, Olamide’s record label, in 2018.
He released his debut album ‘Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps’ in 2019, followed by ‘Apollo’ in 2020 and ‘Playboy’ in 2022.
Since then, Fireboy has solidified his place in the Nigerian music industry with numerous nominations and awards.
