The carnival started Friday, December 16, at Polo Park with a procession held by various cultural dancing troupes and masquerade displays.

Funso Ayeni, senior brand manager, regional mainstream brands NB Plc., said the carnival would help bring the yuletide season alive.

“After a very busy year of various activities, we are using this carnival to bring the festive season more alive in the East. There are lots of entertaining activities lined up for this carnival, but this procession is our direct platform to promote the culture of the people of the South East,” Ayeni said.
