Festive season: Eight places to have fun in Lagos with N5,000

Lagos is a metropolitan city with lots of beautiful and interesting sights to behold. Contrary to the idea of Lagos being an expensive city, there are ways you could have a fun-filled festive season with just N5,000 or less in Nigeria’s commercial capital.

• Lufasi Nature Park

Located on the Lekki-Epe expressway, Lufasi is home to the great nature park; a relaxation centre for adults and kids. The gate fee to this amazing animal shelter and conservative center is just N1,000.

You can go in there with your loved ones to enjoy the beautiful view of different animals ranging from birds, tortoises, horses, monkeys. You can also have a mini picnic at the park — which means you can bring homemade foods to the park.

• Amusement parks

Lagos is also home to a number of amusement parks where one can have fun this festive season for a pretty cheap or affordable entry fee. The fun centres include Funtopia Water Park in Lekki, Funplex Amusement Park in Ikosi, and Apapa Amusement Park among others.

You could pick anyone very close to your location and get into the park for an entry fee that is less than N5,000. Even if you don’t have enough money to engage in some of the funfilled activities within the park, a visit will surely be worth it for you.

•  Jazzhole

•  Kalakuta Republic Museum

Kalakuta Museum is situated in Ikeja. It used to be the house of the Fela Kuti, the late Afrobeat legend. To catch a glimpse of the historic building where Fela slept and his personal belongings when alive; what you need is just N1,000 which is the entry fee.

• Cinemas

Watching blockbuster movies is also a common fun activity you should explore this festive season. You could get to watch a movie at any cinema across Lagos for about N2,000. • Beaches

To walk on the long canopy walkway at the Lekki Conservation Center will cost you about N1,000. It is pretty cheap to enter the home to a plethora of wildlife including monkeys, tortoises, rare birds, and experience the beautiful view of nature.
