The singer Innocent ‘2Baba‘ Idibia has hit back at critics of his troubled marriage to Annie Idibia.
Annie and 2baba have been together for over a decade.
Despite being with Annie, 2baba has faced criticism for having an affair and children with other women.
Annie, in particular, has been criticised for enduring these flaws and remaining married to the singer.
On Saturday, 2baba took to his Instagram page to share a video of his wife.
In the accompanying caption, he expressed his love for Annie.
2baba dismissed rumours making the rounds about their marriage.
The singer said those who perceive themselves as flawless should no longer consider them role models.
He further stated that he and his wife would not be upset by such a decision.
“Abeg, as una too perfect, make una feel free to cancel us as couple goals,” he wrote in Pidgin English.
“Make una enjoy una perfect lives, we no fit vex for una. May Allah guide and protect all of us.”
2Baba and Annie tied the knot in May 2012.
They have had two children, named Olivia and Isabella.
2baba had previously been in relationships with Pero Adeniyi and Sumbo Ajala-Adeoye.
While Pero had three children for 2Baba, Sumbo shares two kids with the singer.
