The Federal Capital Development Agency (FCDA) has demolished a property belonging to Joseph Egbri (alias Prince Kpokpogri), the politician ex-lover of Tonto Dikeh.

Kpokpogri, on Saturday, went on Instagram Live to lament that the FCDA had demolished his building.

The politician claimed the agency destroyed the Abuja property because he refused to sell it.

He alleged that he wasn’t given a specific reason for the demolition beyond being told it was “an order from above”.

“They told me the order is from above. I have my building approval. I have all my documents. I paid four million naira for the documentation fee,” Kpokpogri said.

However, Punch quoted Attah Ikharo, an aide to Muhammad Bello, FCT minister, as clarifying that Kpokpogri’s house was built on a major highway, hence the demolition.

Ikharo noted that the building didn’t get approval from the necessary agencies.

“His house is on a superhighway known as M-16. He doesn’t even have a building plan approval,” Ikharo said.

“It’s like somebody who knows that the highway is coming sold the land to him and he just went to build. We have been asking him to stop but he refused.”

Debunking Kpokpogri’s claim, Ikharo said the politician was warned against building on the land.

“In Abuja, before you build, you must get building plan approval. There was no approval at all for him. The place was initially allocated to somebody long ago,” the minister’s aide added.

“So I think the person now sold it to somebody who then sold it to him. When he discovered that it was a road, he didn’t stop but kept rushing the building. The whole building was built in less than a year.

“The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) managing director came here twice this week. The MD came the day before yesterday (Thursday) that they didn’t give him approval and the building was illegally constructed.

“The FCDA executive secretary also came, adding that it was illegally constructed. We came here twice this week asking him to vacate because of the superhighway.”

‘It’s his cross, he should carry it’ — Tonto Dikeh gloats over demolition

Dikeh and Kpokpogri have been feuding since their tumultuous and well-publicised break-up.

They had accused each other of cheating, with a series of leaked audios surfacing online to back their claims.

The actress took to her Instastory on Saturday to react to Kpokpgri’s demolished property.

She said she didn’t feel sorry for him.

The actress alleged that Kpokpogri almost ruined her financially and emotionally.

Dikeh said she “hopes” he experiences more tragedy until he does the “right thing”.

“Anyone waiting for me to stop laughing is a complete joker. I can’t and will never sympathize with him. It’s his cross, let him carry it,” the actress wrote.

Tonto Dikeh’s Response

“This man almost killed me financially and emotionally.

“If I had committed suicide after he threatened to expose our explicit tape or even when he released the crying video, it would have been two weeks of goodbye, and the world moves on.

“People need to understand that karma exists. I hope it is not the last until he doesn’t the right thing.”
