Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation, has denied claims that he plans to marry another woman amid the crisis rocking his union with his estranged wife.
The ex-minister had on Monday shared a slew of photos showing him sitting on a couch alongside a beautiful lady identified as Halima Yusuf.
This had sparked rumours that he was set to marry a fifth wife.
The rumours came at about the same time when his marriage of six years to Precious Chikwendu, his fourth wife, hit the rock.
But in a follow-up post, Fani-Kayode said the reports of him remarrying are “false”, adding that Halima “is simply a dear friend and confidante.”
“There have been wild speculations in the social media that I am planning to get married again. This is false,” the former minister wrote.
“Miss Halima Yusuf, who has been cited as my fiancee, is simply a dear friend and confidante who I have the utmost respect for and who I hold in high esteem.
“She, together with others, has been a source of immense comfort for me and mine at this time and for this I am eternally grateful to her.
“I appeal to all those peddling the falsehood that we are about to get married to please desist from doing so.”

Fani-Kayode’s rebuttal comes after Regina-Hanson Amonoo, his third wife, had denied claims in some quarters that Chikwendu parted ways with him over issues bordering on domestic violence.
